BIG sponsors ‘Kao Kon La Kao’ campaign with donations of funds and liquid nitrogen cryotherapy services worth a million baht
Thais across the country have been providing enthusiastic moral support to ‘Toon Body Slam’ or Artiwara Kongmalai, who is raising funds for 11 hospitals under the ‘Kao Kon La Kao’ campaign, a charity marathon run of 2,191 kilometers from Yala’s Betong to Chiang Rai’s Mae Sai within 55 days.
Bangkok Industrial Gas Co., Ltd. (BIG) is Thailand’s innovative industrial gas solutions provider with extensive expertise in the use of oxygen and nitrogen gases for medical purposes, as well as an innovative portable cryotherapy service. Mr. Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director of BIG, has extended the support to the campaign through industrial gas innovation to help physical rehabilitation for the runners as well as the donation of Bt500,000 to Toon on December 2 at Ratchaburi Hospital, one of the campaign beneficiaries, in support of the ‘Kao Kon La Kao’ campaign, which is raising funds for purchasing medical equipment for 11 cash-strapped hospitals nationwide.
The cryotherapy is the use of sub-zero temperature from liquid nitrogen for injury recovery. The sub-zero temperature helps to reduce muscle pain and stimulate blood circulation to boost lymph draining resulting in reduction of recovery time from injuries.
BIG supports the portable cryotherapy with the expert to the therapist team lead by Dr. Samitada Sangkapo who takes care ‘Toon’ and his runner team from the starting point of the run at Betong, Yala to final destination at Mae Sai,Chian Rai
