BIG Delivers Oxygen with Pressure Regulators to Help Klong Toey Cluster Fight New Wave of COVID-19

BIG urgently supplied oxygen and pressure regulators to help patients at the community isolation center, Klong Toey communities tackle the new wave of COVID-19 and cease the pandemic. BIG also confirmed no shortage of oxygen in Thailand.

The COVID-19 situation in Klong Toey communities has led to another new cluster. Recently, the number of new cases has been increasing continuously as Klong Toey communities are overcrowded. Most of the inhabitants work in Bangkok but outside their living areas.  Bangkok Industrial Gas Company Limited (BIG) – Thailand’s Innovative Industrial Gas Solutions – urgently delivered medical oxygen and pressure regulators to Wat Saphan, Klong Toey communities. Wat Saphan is a community isolation center for patients before being sent to field hospitals.

“We are concerned of the COVID-19 situation in Klong Toey communities. Therefore, we decided to support the communities. We are confident of our production capability and pleased to supply medical oxygen to meet with the needs no matter what circumstance so that medical personnel will be able to perform their duties at their full capability to stop the COVID-19 pandemic in our country soon.” Mr. Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director of Bangkok Industrial Gas Company Limited said.

The oxygen demand in Thailand was averagely 300 tons per day. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand has grown to 350 tons per day or 20% increase since April 2021. BIG has a maximum production capacity of 1,000 tons per day and reserve tanks of 7,000 tons which can supply oxygen for 20 days. By comparison between the demand and the production, Thailand will not experience the shortage of oxygen.
