We will be an industry leader in environmental, health, and safety performance and are committed to the following basic principles in managing our businesses throughout Thailand :

  • Compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
  • Continual improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance with the ultimate goal of zero injuries and zero emissions of toxic and hazardous materials.
  • Design and operation of our plants and facilities in a manner that protects the environment and the health and safety of our employees and the public.
  • Development and production of products that can be manufactured, distributed, used, and recycled or disposed of in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Open discussion of our environmental, health, and safety practices and performance.
  • Active participation in Responsible Care@ and similar intiatives within our industry.

All managers at all levels are responsible for the safety of employees, facilities, products, and operations within their jurisdiction and for the development and implementation of programs to meet these responsibilities.

Operating management in all departments are responsible for providing day-to-day guidance, coordination, and resources to their facility managers to ensure compliance with regulatory and BIG’s requirements. This responsibility includes:

  • Compiling and disseminating environmental, health, and safety information; obtaining permits
  • Implementing company and regulatory standards; approving environmental aspects of proposed new or modified facilities, products, and processes.
  • Training employees; monitoring and evaluating EH&S programs and performance.
  • Providing required reports to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in a timely manner.

In addition, nonroutine correspondence prepared for government agencies involved in environmental matters must be reviewed and cleared by the BIG EH&S country manager.
